How do overdrafts and bounced checks happen?
An overdraft or bounced checks happen when you write a check, make an automatic debit or debit card purchase when there is not enough money in your account to cover the cost.
What is Courtesy Overdraft Coverage Program?
This is an overdraft option provided by FFBKC as a courtesy to automatically pay items against insufficient funds in your checking account .
How does Courtesy Overdraft Coverage Program work?
In the event your checking account with First Federal Bank of Kansas City does not have sufficient funds to cover a check, automatic payment or debit card purchase(s), this service will kick in and cover items presenting for payment.
How much does Courtesy Overdraft Coverage Program cost?
We will charge you a fee of up to $35 each time we pay an overdraft transaction $5.01 or greater. If your account is overdrawn by $13.01 or more, a fee is charged for each day your account is overdrawn on and after the 7th day. A maximum of 6 Insufficient Fund Fees can be assessed per account, per day.
What is Savings Overdraft Protection Program?
This is an overdraft option that you can sign up for to have your Savings or Money Market Account protect your Checking Account in the event of an overdraft.
How does Savings Overdraft Protection Program work?
In the event your checking account with First Federal Bank of Kansas City does not have sufficient funds to cover a check, automatic payment or debit card purchase(s), you can authorize us to credit your Checking Account amounts necessary to cover any overdrafts by transferring funds from your Savings or Money Market Account in $1.00 increments.
How much does Savings Overdraft Protection Program cost?
A service fee will be assessed to your Savings or Money Market Account each day that an overdraft transfer occurs. The fee is charged to the Savings or Money Market account. If there is not enough available funds in the Savings or Money Market account to cover the overdraft, any available funds will be transferred, however any applicable insufficient fees will be charged per insufficient item to the checking account.
